I have a 1990 Bmw 325i. I bought new 40watt full range speakers for the the rear. Finantially, I'm not in the position to shop for a new head unit (with rca outs). I so happen to have a 12inc sub. and a 500watt amp that will power 2 channels and and bridge for my 12inc woffer. Question: how could I possibly power four channels (front r and l -- rear r and l) and the sub I'm installing with only the bmw's head leads. I have a line/rea adaptor, but can I splice the line output from the deck to the bmw's bogus factory amp and into my 500watt amp? The factory amp coud power the orignial front mids and tweets and MY amp to power the rear and the sub. So far -- no luck.
I know this sounds stupid -- and novice. What I need is a new head unit with multiple outs. Can this be avoided for a while? Thank you for your patience. You guys are great!!!! Hubris
