There is no doubt that a small reflective room would respond quite well to some acoustic treatment. Since you are bothered more by the mids than anything else, I would recommend building some of the sound absorbing wall panels, ala my DIY acoustic recipe, or obtaining some of the retail versions if DIY is not an option.See:
