Pat's advice is great. I agree with replacing all components in the signal path with higher quality replacements. Hovland, InfiniCap, and MultiCap are all great high-grade capacitors you might consider. Vishay, Mills, and Caddock all make excellent resistors.One way to tell if a resistor is in the signal path is to trace an imaginary line from the input terminals (where you hook the speaker up to the amp) through to the driver itself. If that imaginary line goes THROUGH a resistor, then it should be replaced.
You could replace all the resistors in the crossover if you wanted to be extra sure you got the most benefit--it won't hurt anything, but you'll have to buy more parts.
Also, be sure that when you replace resistors that your replacements are the same resistance (measured in ohms) and power handling (watts). It's ok if your replacement resistor is higher power (more watts), but it should not be less. The resistance value should match exactly, or within 5% or so.
