Jack,I have the TDS passive AT. Everyone is right about the slight humming
sound coming from the speakers. It is either you like it or hate this unit. I personally like it but there are times that TDS tends to make your system sound a little bright. If you want to audition one, go to www.amusicdirect.com You have thirty days to audition it.
