Hope mass loading works well for you too. For me, the difference made by the MDF box of lead bearings was like the difference between:
1. A freshly-made Sundae comprising various scoops of distinctly-coloured ice-cream, and
2. That same Sundae after it has been in the hot sun for 15 minutes!
Without the mass loading, the various musical colors just seemed to congeal and seep into each other, creating a messier sonic presentation.
