Thanks for your thoughts. That's exactly what I meant by "no indication" of an electrostatic shield, there is no wire grounded to the frame. Short of x-raying the thing, I have no idea how to tell if there's a shield, but is suspect not. I'm sure it will produce 60-0-60V, but I suspect that the lack of a shield may decrease the noise-limiting ability of the transformer.
