I need help improving my CD player

216.223.133.20

Good day,
I've recently upraded my amplifier and my speakers but instead
of spending a small fortune on a high end cd player I would be just as
happy if I could tweak my old cd player to improve the sound quality. I have a Sony CDP-790 cd player. In addition to some of the great advice I've been reading on this web-site about using certain dampening materials, I would like to replace the resistors, capacitors, etc in the analog section of my cd player with premium quality components to improve the sound. Of course, good quality resistors and capacitors aren't exactly cheap (especially if you're replacing a lot of parts) but then it's certainly cheaper than buying a new cd player and if it makes a big improvement in the sound quality then it's worth it. I would just like to know exactly where in this cd player I can find the analog section. I guess upgrading almost anything on a cheap cd player would certainly be an improvement but this is one area I would like to start out with. Also, I would like to know the names of some manufacturers of resistors and capacitors and diodes. I know Vishay makes some great resistors but I would like to get some more ideas. If anyone has had some experience in this field of electronics, I would appreciate any advice.
Thank you.
