Be careful there Paco, you are playing with fire. I understand the net goal, but don't think that your idea is very safe. I am not an electrician either, but I am an engineer (mechanical) and I work in consulting construction. If you do something that causes a fire, your insurance won't cover the damages. I agree that a good hospital grade outlet and hospital grade plug should be more than sufficient. Now, if you want to hard-wire your AC cord to the PCB or PS in your equipment, that is another thing, provided you install a strain relief or other device to insure that the connection to the equipment is safe. Also, heat shrink any AC connections inside the equipment to avoid a short. Good luck, but please be careful with line voltage, it IS very deadly and not typically something to be TWEAKED unless you are involving an electrician.My $0.02
