I took advantage of the HCM Audio "dynamic duo" sale & bought a couple Auric Illuminator sets since my brother already wanted 2 Aurex AV mats for his twin drawer CDR. I figured since I adore the sharp distinct round sound of black CD treatments, this was the system with my name written all over it. Man, was I right!!! My living room reproduced sweet shimmering highs from my Maggies w/ a graciously inviting depth & honed detail. However, my brother found it dry. My bedroom system was enlarged, warm & dynamicly expressive w/ responsive impact whose image was neither fore nor aft but fluctuated in the twain, which my brother agreed. In fact, he was flustered that the CD treatment was system dependent too.
