No difference noticed in performance when shortening the length of my LAT power cord. I mainly did it because of the cramped spacing and LAT didn't have anything shorter. My Acurus 200x3 power amp is using it plugged directly into the wall (I was afraid the HTS2000 would strangle it's power). I mainly use the HTS2000 for source components.
