Hi Jason,Interesting. I have thought about replacing the cord on my HTS-2000 as well. Ironically I have the LAT AC-2 too, did you see any improvement by shortening the cord?
The Monster cord looks to be decent, at least it is 14 AWG, but the cord does not say if it is shielded or not, if not using a new shielded cord may help but I am no expert here. Maybe it wouldn't be a good idea if you plan to have an amp plugged into the 2000, maybe that would be too much filtering. Also the plug could be changed out to a nice Hubbell plug as well. Let us know if you decide to change it out and if you reap any benefits if you do, email me.
