Ed,I recently modified my MMgs to be able to be bi-wired and bi-amped. I ended up placing the binding posts and the caps, etc. in a heavy cardboard box that i filled with sand (I think Hales did something like that before). I chose these boxes because they were ready made (I do not have any tools or space to build anything from wood (audiophile not a carpenter))and hinged. I love the modification even with jumpers, and have not noticed any ill effects from the Cardboard or the sand, only an improvement.
I will actively bi-amp soon, but just in case, can you recommend replacements for the factory crossover?
