Another option after cutting the knobs extensions is to add Blue Tack under the round knob and make pressure until it couple to the wood base. For an o-ring you have to search at your local machanical or industrial(motors) supplier.I though about using rectangular tubing and filling it with sand after using the method of 3/8" hole in the middle and the door knob.
What I think it is a little extrange is the use of a 1.25" ball bearing by Kent. Mine are 3/8" and I found them to be reasonably stable and funtional.
There are many options, methods and replies but the impotart thing is to keep going seeking for the next DIY Grand Prix Tweak of the Year.
