What I did was use some old cast alum lighting socket heads. later I got some 2.5" alum conduit. In any case here's the drill:

materials needed: 2.5" or 3" alum conduit approx 6-7" in length, blue tak or sim "tacky" material, 1/2" foam (6" sq), 3 50 mm pyrex watch glasses (can be obtained from Thomas Scientific (www.Thomassci.com)), approx 1 lb of fine sand or blast grit, 3 ball bearings.

cut the conduit into 2" lengths, bevel one end inward @ 45 degrees, cut 1/2" foam into circle ~ 1/2" larger in dia. than conduit, insert foam into unbeveled end of conduit, put 3 small balls of blue tak (spaced equally) on same end of conduit, fill conduit w/ sand til it's just even w/ top (beveled) edge. situate the 3 sections of conduit on the shelf or isolation base in the same manner as the orig RBs, place watch glasses onto sand and gently press to seat glass into sand, put bearings in glasses, place CDP on bearings.

Voila! damped RBs. The sand and foam damp any vibes between the shelf and the CDP. the blue tak keeps the RP (roller pods) in place and further isolates the cup from the shelf. Hope you find this helpful.
