Thank you for trying to be descreet about this. Here goes: We have found that to make the HCA-3500 a true contender in the marketplace, you have to change the main feedback resistors to the parts that I originally specified. I specified HOLCO 47K 1/2 W resistors (Michael Percy) for the main feedback resistor(s){2 total}. If you change these resistors out for the Vishay parts in the unit, it will work OK. For some reason the Vishay resistors seem to compromise the sound of the amp. We can't measure anything important. Also, try to reverse the AC line input. This seems to be important also. It should take about an hour or so to do this.
