Could be exactly what you are looking for.
I love using 6L6/KT66 in my Rogue amp. I had happily been using Gold Lion KT66 for the last 6 months, they are great tubes. But they do not sound like what you are looking for. Recently I decided to try the Tung Sol 7581A that have been getting rave reviews from tube lovers. These are great tubes as well!
The sound is quite different from the GL KT66. They power range of music seems to be more emphasized, the sound is fuller and richer, more like a KT88 but still fast and linear like all 6L6s. Bass seems stronger, the highs less extended than the GL. Still in the breakin stage but definitely a warm sounding tube.
Another one you could try is the Prefered Series 6L6gc. Also a warm sounding tube.
Agree with the other poster, RCA black plate 6L6gc is the ultimate "warm" 6L6 (maybe a little too warm for me).
Enjoy the roll!
