I worked at a Delaware Valley chain in the 70s and the A25 was used as a bait and switch speaker although for those who knew accuracy rather than boom, tizz it blew away the ESS Heils and JBLs that were our 'high end' speakers.
Another good speaker manufacturer who didn't use low pass on their main drivers was Reference 3A from Canada.
