You are to be commended -21 years living with Big Tall Round

Rare as most tire of the visual and trade out for small cubes. There are technical advantages to using large volumes and cylindrical shapes

There MAY be alternatives to the $400 amp BUT being a cylinder we would need detailed info to see if they physically would fit in existing amp location. Around $200

You'd be hard pressed to get something for $500 that would output like the cylinders potential

All of that being said, $400 from SVS ( make sure you verify it fits ) is not a terrible price from a manufacturer supporting a vintage product


For me with $500 to spend upgrading amp and driver could turn that tube into improved monster that could go another 10 to 15 years
