You Tube reviewers are how manufacturers advertise. Think about it know body is reading Stereophile magazine or Absolut sound magazine there are no brick and motor stores carrying audiophile products so if you were a manufacturer how would you advertise your new speakers you just designed and built?
Have you ever seen Sean Fowler of zero fidelity basement he shows it in a video he has every piece of gear he has ever reviewed all the reviewers get to keep what they review. Plus, they get paid by you tube not bad for a part time gig.
In 2013 Stereophile was down to only 71 thousand issues a month today in 2025 I am sure it way less.
Meanwhile the Steve Guttenberg has 263 thousand subscribers new record day has 102 thousand subscribers zero fidelity has 81 thousand subscribers and Andrew Robinson has 400 thousand subscribers so between the top 4 you tube reviewers they have 846 thousand subscribers. Thats reaching a lot of people.
Unfortunately, they all lie go and watch some reviews and then go to the manufacturers website and read their description and you will see you tube reviewers saying verbatim what the manufactures say.
And why would you buy something based off what one person says when you can go into a forum and find multiple owners of a product that are willing to tell you anything you ask, I would much rather base a decision off of multiple opinions instead of just one.
Funny when Tekton double impact were being reviewed by you tube reviewers' owners in forums were posting pictures of their new double impact speakers that sound as good as $30000 dollar speakers for only $3000 then shortly after were sending them back. I went on eBay and found pairs for $1500 that were brand new only 4 or 5 months old.
When Decware gave Andrew Robins a pair of Lii song audio Zf15L-2 open baffle speakers that cost $6990.00 I tried to leave comments telling people interested that they could buy the Zf15L-2 for $2000.00 direct from Lii Song I was blocked and can no longer comment on Andrew's channel due to the fact I was trying to save people from getting ripped off. And Decware should be ashamed of themselves the actual 15" drivers are only $500 a pair no crossover just mount them to a baffle and your done.
And to think some people have paid $6990.00 dollars for $400 dollars' worth of speakers and $200 dollars' worth of wood like I have said before most everything now days is a scam taking advantage of the consumer.
