I don't follow the story because I'm not vested in the brand

And not a fan of it. I do know a guy in local audio club who loves them and has two systems with big tektons. I heard both a month ago with SET amps. I thought they need more power than SET could provide and the tone of speakers was a typical grayish sound present in all commercial mainstream offerings. ASR type of folks would be a last sort I'd take advice on what to buy.
What mostly gets me is the intent on destroying a very small company of some repute just because they think they can do it with impunity.
