Depends on various things.
But, sure, folks who've only tried the $10 ones from Amazon might think they're not for hifi.B&C DE35 crossed in very high as 'supertweeters' on top of EMILAR EH500-2 horns mated to (in the photo below) JBL 2441 treble drivers. More recently, I've gone back to Altec 802D treble drivers (with EMILAR 1 inch to 2 inch throat adaptors). The JBLs are nice, and impressive but need lots of padding down in the context of my loudspeakers.
When all was said and done, the DE35 replaced Fostex T90A for supertweeter use (there were some other changes along the way).
The T90A are bullet tweeters, too, come to think of it! Rather pricier, though. :)
