Being a DIY-oriented audiophile for decades with a scrounger budget mentality out of necessity:That method is HOW I systematically acquired my rendition of a 4-Way fully-FLH System that was "closer" to my idea of the "ultimate", given my low-budget, however. However, it took me 15 years from start to completion. I still did not have active transducer filtering for the non-subwoofer channels due to budget issues. I had two dissimilar sounding Cyrus Brenneman SET amps (one 1-off 10wpc SET & one regular 8wpc Cavalier), and two Museatex MTR-MONO's crossed over to the Seismics using Ashly XR-4001.
I settled on TAD TD-2001 on Stereo-Lab 1000Hz round Tractrix, JBL 2441 on 250Hz Edgarhorn round Tractrix, JBL E145 on Edgarhorn 80Hz Exponential and stereophonic channels of Seismic basshorn on JBL E145.
I did not have a good preamplifier, but I had a decently-good DAC (Museatex BIDAT). Bruce gave me his Well Tempered Turntable as a trade for helping him and decently good Kimber Monocle XL speaker cables, although I did not yet have funds for a phono preamp. I had short Cardas Neutral Reference IC's.
Before Bruce's passing, he wrote down information on AA H.E. listing his designated manufacturer for the continued officiated reproduction of his horn designs. I have seen no evidence* anywhere online that anyone ever* took Bruce up on his offer after all these years.
