How to redo speaker surrounds on small speakers?

I have some very small - 2.5in. speakers from my car whose surrounds have deteriorated. Is there some generic material I can use for the surrounds?
I know you're thinking I should just buy new speakers, but these fit a particular spot and are held in place by an unusual method - so I'd like to just keep them going if I can.
