Be sure and get your records out of their cardboard jackets before they dry. They'll be fine . . . might need the services of an RCM, but that's it.

The jackets probably won't be; same for the speakers. Once the water gets to an absorbent substance, like MDF or the stuff most speaker cones are made of, its all over. Plus all of the ferrous parts are going to rust.

You can fire Allstate if you like, but the typical homeowners policy never covers flooding damage. The only water damage that would be covered by the typical homeowners' policy is from a pipe burst inside the house, or from water coming into the house through the roof or though windows that were blown out by a storm.

Flood insurance, if available, is always available separately.
