perhaps you could ask for another person to work with at the dealer you don't like because lipinski speakers are some of the best you can find or maybe you could start from scratch with him by explaining what the problems are - it's a relationship to be sure and some can be salvaged, some not. some dealers are just a-holes and nothing will or can change that but they are usually the exception: i've worked with some dealers who have this holier than thou snobbish cocky attitude toward everyone simply because they think that they are special working in a high-end audio boutique and there are those who know little about audio yet use all sorts of tactics to sell whatever they can ...the other speakers you mentioned including devore are all excellent too...you cannot go wrong with merlin or devore IMHO if you want to hear what is on the recording w/out coloration
