I have a pair of Yamaha NS 1000’s that I bought in the late 70’s and love them. I have been using a Yamaha CR820 receiver (50 w/ch) all these years and would like to upgrade my amp. I’ve been thinking about a vintage solid state Macintosh MC 2205 (200 w/ch) but I don’t know if that is too much power. Don’t want to hurt my old friends. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

- how much power they need depends on how close you listen, how loud and on room size. - Timbo in Oz 05:27:52 04/12/07 (0)
