The A-25 is a very natural sounding speaker that lacks the thickness or heaviness in the bass that characterizes acoustic suspension speakers of the era, including the Larger Advent.I would rate the treble extension of both speakers as about equal, which is to say, not very extended by contemporary standards.
The A-25's bass starts rolling off at about 50 Hz; the Larger Advent produces notably deeper and louder bass . . . but at a price.
I think the two are about equal in efficiency. The A-25 is comfortable with about 40 watts or even less. The Larger Advent probably wants more. Remember, these speakers were both designed before the era of monster amplifiers developing 100 or more watts. A powerful amplifier of the era would be a 60-watter. The A-25 presents a more benign impedence curve (because of its damped, vented enclosure) that probably makes it a better choice for tube amps than the Larger Advent.
If it were my choice, I would go with the A-25. It's just a more listenable speaker.
