Never ever ever. I love my Quad 12L Actives to death, and if I didn't have them, I'd probably move up to some ATC, PMC, or Genelecs. I also augment the Quads with a Velo DD sub.I've compared the Active 12L's directly with their passive consumer counterpart (using a remote controlled switcher), and there is absolutely NO comparison. The Actives blow the passives away.
