Among the assorted odd noisemakers I like as in uilleann pipes, bodhráns, bouzoukis, banjos, hammered dulcimer and moogs, there is one that blows me away.
The Hurdy Gurdy....an amazing looking and way neat sounding instrument used all thru the British Isles and the Ukrain. They are on many records but one that you can hear it on clearly and up front just whirling away like mad is on the song Winter Shaker from Wovenhand on the CD called Woven.
A cool CD btw
What (strange-unusual -weird) instrument have you a good example of?
