He is an amazing talent at such a young age. Aside from his stellar slide work, the Derek Trucks Band has a sound that fuses together many musical styles - Blues, Jazz, East Indian, African.I highly recommend the "Songlines Live" DVD for an inside glimpse into this band. It contains songs that are not on the Sonlines CD as well. I love the performance of "Crow Jane". I enjoy all of their releases, but the Songlines CD is my favorite followed by Soul Serenade. Joyful Noise is one of the more interesting releases, but is much heavier on the Indian influence (which some do not find enjoyable).
