Well, there are definitely two schools of thought on the Supremes: (1) that Diana made the group and that they were crap after she left; and (2) that they were much more than just backing singers for Diana, and that they actually compiled a significant body of work after she split. I'm in the latter camp.The remastering is excellent, but IMO there's only so much you can do with Motown productions, many of which were thin and tinny--perfect for car radios, but not exactly shimmering examples of audiophile art.
