Did he mean The Beatles appearance on Ed Sullivan and the Hollywood Bowl recording(s) would have sounded better without the audience noise?In retrospect, the sound of their Ed Sullivan performance may have benefited from the screaming. They had spent hours earlier in the day getting the settings on the mixing board just right, only to have a cleaning person come in later and change them all. As for the Hollywood Bowl recording, I enjoy it just the way it is.
