"Where are all the guys?" I blurted out, 35 years ago, at UC Santa Cruz's Theater Arts Center. My friend was taking a ballet elective, and it was nothing but girls.

When we got back to the dorms, we stumbled upon Yngwie Malmsteen's then-new "Judas." Since that song was neoclassical metal, my friend continued thinking about ballet. But I observed how, with her feminine hips, she easily did the splits. I then told her that, since she could do the splits, she should become an ice hockey goalie!

Although "Judas" has long been a fan favorite, you do not hear it that often. Ballet or not, you do find "Judas" refreshing.
