45 years ago, Kraftwerk themselves were not all that popular. However, they were the godfathers of what would become synthpop. First, Gary Numan's "Cars" became a household synthpop tune. And then, we started to hear OMD's "Electricity."
While "Electricity" itself didn't do well on any charts, it has always been a fan-favorite and audiophile reference. Back in the 1980s, we did not know that "Electricity" was actually OMD's first single. By playing "Electricity," and using a cable which has just come off of the Cable Cooker, you can tell if the cable is done, or needs a little more Cook time.
