25 years ago, I had a bowling tournament, in the Sacramento area. So, I took that opportunity to visit my brother, his friends, and others, who were at UC Davis. There, some were grooving to the Backstreet Boys' "The One."
This photo lies. It makes it seem like I (right) had a tan. Anyway, while radio stations play other BSB songs, they tend to ignore "The One."
In 2000, I worked in San Francisco's Financial District. My coworker, Daphne, and I were the same age. We asked each other, if it were appropriate, for us to listen to boy bands. She emphatically said YES.
On account of the high cost of living, Daphne would then move away from the Bay Area. She recently made a visit to her parents' place in S.F., and I got to meet up with her (above). Knowing that I was a long-time audiophile and music lover, Daphne mentioned that one of her present coworkers has seen BSB eleven times. We're so jealous!
