Bad timing. 5 years ago, while Americans were starting to contract COVID, Jeff Lynne's ELO came out with "Time Of Our Life." We visited friends' kids, who were going to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. This was the last time I had Doc Burnstein's Ice Cream Lab. Because of hostile corporate takeover, its founder was forced out, and operations abruptly shut down in 2023.

Just as with other universities, Cal Poly SLO advised students that the campus might have to be shut down. And if so, students living on campus were told to go home.

COVID cut short any chance "Time Of Our Life" had of succeeding.
