In the mid-to-late 2000s, a SoCal audiophile, Curtis, sent me cables from Crystal Cable and Transparent, to be placed on my audiodharma Cable Cooker. He says, "I was pleasantly surprised that you were a pop music audiophile," and mentioned that he liked Hall & Oates.
He did not give me permission to blog about those Crystal Cable and Transparent products. He explains, "I ended up not keeping them. They represented two different ends of the sonic spectrum." He continues, "That said, the Cooking process brought out what I needed to know about those cables. I still shake my head at how out of touch audiophiles are, regarding this."
Alas, Hall & Oates acrimoniously have broken up. But we commemorate the 40th (!) Anniversary of their hit, "Out Of Touch." "Speaking of out of touch," Curtis remarks, as he shared the photo above, "This is just wrong." His younger relative goes to UCLA, "But that sweatshirt is in USC colors!"
Curtis goes on, "I do like [Hall & Oates'] Out Of Touch, and it's the other audiophiles, who are out of touch, LOL!"
