Honeydrippers, "Sea Of Love"

Sorry, we do not have any photos from 1984, but 40 years ago, I got together with my relatives, who lived in Marin. Since they included cousins who were a little older, they were deep into popular music. And they liked the Honeydrippers' cover of Phil Phillips' "Sea Of Love." That kind of transformed Richardson Bay and the Golden Gate into our "sea of love."

The Honeydrippers were Robert Plant's side project. On "Sea Of Love," that's actually Jimmy Page on guitar. Plant was kind of taken aback, by the success of "Sea Of Love." As a solo artist in the early-1980s, he had only encountered modest success. Alas, a few months later, Plant would resume his solo career, and come out with Shaken 'n' Stirred.
