30 years ago, repeat customers at San Francisco's Ultimate Sound could exchange numbers, and meet up. But the end of 1994 was rainy, which made traveling a bit risky. So if you stayed home, you could read the November/December 1994 TAS.
Meanwhile, a nerd girl, Corey, made a fool of herself, in front of my friend (and her classmate), Nick. While listening to Queensryche's "Someone Else," she gained mental clarity, and summoned the courage, to apologize in person to Nick. The next semester, Nick and Corey dated, graduated from UC Berkeley, moved to SoCal. A few years later, they got married.
My wife has always liked "Someone Else." But she places it in a different perspective and background. You see, earlier, she liked Queensryche's "Anybody Listening." Thus, she appreciates the more acoustic and mature "Someone Else."
But most audiophiles know neither, so you have to share with them, let them make their own choices.
