35 years ago, my friends would go along San Francisco's Bayfront, from the Presidio to Hunters Point. With Enya's "Orinoco Flow" playing, we knew that the Bay was where the Sacramento and San Joaquin Rivers met the Pacific Ocean. We just assumed that we'd always be at home in S.F.
My friends, and even some of their husbands, all make good money. But S.F. real estate is prohibitively expensive, so hardly anyone lives in S.F. itself. Thus, friends have "sailed away" to just outside of S.F., including across the Bay.
Enya's "Orinoco Flow" is one of those weird pop music entries which don't fit neatly into any one genre. Thus, it gets airplay from a variety of stations.
