35 years ago, in early 1989, guitarist Joe Satriani, originally from New York, was living in Berkeley, CA. By then, the perception was that Satriani was a "Bay Area guy."

From his EP, Dreaming #11, Satriani had an under-the-radar hit, "The Crush Of Love." It still doesn't get much airplay, but does appear on internet radio. Even if you are not a fan of instrumental rock, check out the tasteful and moving "The Crush Of Love."
