40 years ago, we were in middle school. Cameo's hypnotic "She's Strange" made it okay to be, well, strange. My nerdy classmate Annie was wearing a Hotel California shirt (we wanted to play sports, so she wore white to begin with), and grooved to "She's Strange." As audiophiles, we did not realize that the recording was actually relatively clear. You wish other pop music recordings were up to that standard.
