Ah, San Francisco's Ocean beach. 40 years ago, there used to be bonfires there. These would lead to the creation of Burning Man.

In early 1984, we were in middle school. Older teenagers started to learn about a local rock band, called Metallica. One of the favorites was "Jump In The Fire." When my friends and I went to Metallica concerts in the late-80s, "Jump In The Fire" was one of those mid-tempo rockers, which made flailing around in mosh pits fun.
