5 years ago, I went on a Bay cruise with some of my former coworkers. The Smashing Pumpkins' "Silvery Sometimes (Ghosts)" sounded like we were back in the mid-1990s. That's partially due to Rick Rubin's clear production values.

Enough time had gone by, that some of our former students were now just out of college. That reminded us that, during the mid-1990s, we were just out of college. Sigh.

The video for "Silvery Sometimes (Ghosts)" features Sugar Ray's Mark McGrath. But anyway, listening to the song made us feel like we were still maintaining our identity, even though we were middle-aged adults.
