15 years ago, coworkers past and present had lunch in downtown San Francisco. I lamented that S.F. never had a lot of audio stores to begin with, and, for the past decade, became a B&M desert. Boomer workers were contemplating retirement, the economy was in shambles, and they had to rely on internet connections, to try and buy audio products.
So I went back to the office, where coworkers where rocking out to Testament's "Afterlife." While "More Than Meets The Eye" was the "hit," "Afterlife" was nevertheless an enjoyable deep album cut. Because the popular music scene was in the desert wasteland (1997-2011), Testament arguably were more popular in 2009, than they were since their 1990 heyday.
