My friends and I can't believe that it's been 30 years, since we saw Sepultura at Slim's in San Francisco. We had previously seen Sepultura at the much-larger Bill Graham Civic. In the smaller Slim's, they sounded much better.

My friend Shelly got hurt, and security pulled her aside. She actually got taken to the narrow "loft" walkway/porch, opposite of the stage. Thus, she had the best view of the concert!

Had you been there, you would have understood how Sepultura's music had its roots in punk, industrial grindcore, and Latin rhythms.
