30 years ago, I bowled in two leagues per week, at Japantown Bowl. Before and after, we liked to hang out at Japantown itself. The taiyaki (fish-shaped waffle with red bean filling) was a popular snack.

In a very thoughtful act, one of the other bowlers, Nessie, bought me Joe Satriani's double-CD, Time Machine, for Christmas. I'd bring these CDs to audio stores (in those days, the internet was NOT a marketplace for high-end audio), and the title track was a reference track.
