George Michael, "Kissing A Fool"

At the end of 1988, we were preparing for Winterball, not proms. Selecting Winterball attire was always a dilemma for the girl. You could go with more muted, neutral, subdued colors. Or you could find a dress, with trim and.or glitter, which looked more like "snowflakes."

George Michael's "Kissing A Fool" stopped us in our tracks. Well, above, we were at San Francisco's Aquatic Park. Although "Kissing A Fool" was a breakup song, its jazzy sophisti-pop certainly felt as though it should have been played at Winterball. Perhaps this is why "Kissing A Fool" does not appear on conventional radio stations. But my old schoolmates (and wife) love it, prefer it to other songs on George Michael's Faith.
