Ah, the San Francisco Presidio. In 1983, it was an Army base. My friend recalls having a handful of classmates, who lived in the Presidio. Back then, residents didn't have cable TV, so we could not watch MTV. Instead, we had to rely on Friday Night Videos.
When my friend saw the video for Robert Plant's "In The Mood," she couldn't wait for the next day to arrive, the sun to come up, and explore areas outside of San Francisco.
Back then, Plant said that he wanted to experiment with sounds other than what Led Zeppelin would have done. On "In The Mood," that's actually Phil Collins on drums. PC took time out from a very busy solo and Genesis career, to pound the skins for Plant.
