Before home consoles, Nintendo made little hand-held video games. In 1983, most of us were in junior high, and we did have a few hand-held Nintendo games. At family gatherings, the grandparents had their own table, and so did the adults. Thus, we were relegated to the "kids' table."
Jennifer Warnes and Chris Thompson did the title song for a Tom Cruise movie, All The Right Moves. I've only seen snippets of this movie, which was set in a declining steel town. Craig T. Nelson plays a football coach. At the end, he ends up as a coach at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where a few of my friends and neighbors would attend in real life.
As for the lite rock song, we are not aware of it getting much airplay, either back in 1983 when it came out, or now. On those clunky early Nintendo games, no one could make the right moves, LOL!
